The Mysterium Committee is looking to put together a crack team of specialists for an important mission!
Well...mostly.
One of the goals the Mysterium Committee has set, is establishing the group as a nonprofit group, also known as an NPO. This will greatly increase our legal and financial stability and open the door to resources and growth that we wouldn't have as individual volunteers.
We are looking for people who
~ Have experience with starting or organizing NPOs and/or know NPO structure and operation.
~ Can navigate IRS paperwork.
~ Can make a solid time commitment.
~Living in Washington State, and able to research state-specific details is a plus.
The NPO team will work independently to put together a report on what steps need to be taken to become an NPO, what structure will be needed, and how to file and maintain the NPO. The team will report to the co-chairs and treasurer with status reports and final results.
The goal is to have the paperwork ready to file before the end of 2009, so we need people who are willing to step up and get things done.
