[Error: unknown template qotd]It is the government's job to determine which people will be allowed to enter into a legal contract binding them to another person or people. The legal arrangement which people now call 'marriage' should be treated no differently, from a government perspective, than any other legal contract.

This includes it being unconstitutional to deny someone the right to enter into a contract based on discriminatory factors, like sex, race or religion.
