Yes indeed. Although his point that Christianity should favour no political party, while ideally true, does smack a little bit of "don't vote, it only encourages them." The Christianists, to use his term, while maybe a minority, are using religion to further a political agenda, and some sort of counterweight on the other side is I think required. Sitting in the centre won't redress the balance.
