The guy jumped through all the hoops, met the requirements that were set for his return... and a group that didn't even exist when he committed his 'crime' got to vote on unbanning him. How is this fair? If it was all up to a vote by this group, why make him jump through hoops? It is wrong to not only add on to his 'sentance' after the fact, but to add on something he has no control over, based on rules by a group that was formed after the incident!

And how, when the Makers, the people with absolute and final say about what happens with UU, forgave him and gave the thumbs up for his return, how could anyone in good faith vote against him? Fear? Pride? Allergy to crow pie? Who knows. But the group wasn't able to meet the 70% majority vote for a global unban.

Bizzarely enough, the only person (besides the Tap admins) who publicly did the right thing, was an admin who has personal issues about the incident, so he abstained from participating.

Even with the vitally needed guidelines for United Shard participants, to prevent just the sort of firestorm that happened here, the act of adding penalties on without there having been additional 'crimes' is a bad precident. I really hope individual shards, besides Tapestry, do the right thing and let this guy back on.
